A nurse who works for the local hospital was looking to upgrade her 2016 Honda Civic EX. She recently upgraded from a previous Civic in which we had installed a Compustar Pro series remote start and heated seats. Knowing the Albert Lea and Mankato Hospitals are some of the most difficult places to get a remote start to transmit from, she visited us once again because the factory remote start just wouldn’t cut it.
We installed the brand-new Compustar Pro two-way R3 remote start, also known as the RF-P2wR3-SS. It features up to 2 miles of range and can transmit through walls, buildings and structures, and deal with the radio interference in a place like the hospital far better than just about any other system ever made. While incredibly powerful, it’s a tiny little remote control that doesn’t take up much room on the keychain. It’s given her the power she needed to work well in a variety of locations all over the hospital and clinic.
In addition, since her new Civic didn’t come with heated seats from the factory, we installed a set of seat heaters on both front seats. These systems come with a three-position switch allowing for off, low and high heat settings. Of course, since we installed the remote start, the remote start will power the heated seats while remote started to pre-warm the interior and the seats themselves.
