Rock-Solid Equipment

We use Sony marine-source units on all of our motorcycle audio system upgrades. Sony marine-source units look great in the dash, thanks to their black color scheme. They feature a conformal coating on the main circuit board to prevent damage in humid conditions. The LCD screen is designed to be easily viewable in bright sunlight. The radio components are constructed from UV-resistant materials.

Our most popular unit is the DSX-M50BT digital media receiver. It features Bluetooth for hands-free communication and audio streaming. The front-panel USB ports are compatible with Apple and Android phones for charging and music playback. Sony’s Digital Clarity AM/FM tuner offers excellent reception and includes RDS to show radio station information. If you are looking for CD playback or don’t want an amplifier, the Sony MEX-M100BT includes an impressive 40 watt per channel amplifier that can bring your system to life.

Amps And Speakers

Our most popular amplifier is the Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4. Designed for use on motorcycle and ATV’s, the micro sized amp features BRT (Boosted Rail Technology) and is an ultra efficient design that generates 300 Watts of power and is both UV- and water-resistant. The amp is physically small but sounds huge – a perfect solution for Harleys.

Considered the maker of some of the best speakers in the world, Focal offers speakers at every price you can imagine – from their great-sounding and affordable Access and Integration series to the raw power of the K2 Power and Flax series. Known for their expertise in composite speaker cone designs, Focal offers speakers with great power handling, excellent clarity and impressive output. Designs and technologies found on the $200,000 Grand Utopia EM speakers trickle down to allow Focal speakers to sound like no others.

We Make It Easy

Whether you want to keep the 6.5-inch display on a new Street Glide or Road Glide, or upgrade the CD player on an older cruiser, we are happy to work with you to make the task easy. We also can design a custom a la carte system if none of our packages meet your needs. We can add a subwoofer, lower fairing speakers, tour pack speakers or saddlebag lid speakers to further the performance of your system.

2014 and up Harley radio’s

Sweet Sounds is one the few places in the Midwest that has the special equipment required to flash your bike properly. Unfortunately, Harley dealers are no longer capable of providing this service. As you may have heard, special consideration has to be given when upgrading the audio system in these newer bikes.  Generally speaking, we don’t recommend replacing the radio on the bikes.  Instead, a simple “flash” of the factory radio is needed to allow us to properly interface new speakers and amplifiers and get the best results. After that, excellent sound is just around the corner.

Sweet Sounds Motorcycle Audio Packages, up to 2014 model year

Each of our packages for pre 2014 model year bikes include a Memphis 10 AWG OFC wiring kit, speaker adapters, applicable audio interconnects, installation harness and handlebar audio control interface where required. We include a weather-resistant radio housing with all radio upgrade packages.

For bikes with 4 speaker setups, adding a second set to either of these kits is simple.  Give us a call!
