What is the Coats for Kids Promotion?
Coats for Kids was originally started by a fellow mobile electronics retailer in Pennsylvania. After seeing great success over many years, they shared the idea with retailers nationwide.
Here at Sweet Sounds, when you purchase and pay for a new remote car starter between November 1 and Thanksgiving (November 28, 2024), and donate a new or gently used children’s coat, we will discount your purchase by up to $50.
We collect these coats at Sweet Sounds and deliver them to local charities for distribution to families in need. If you have children, you know how quickly they outgrow their clothes, making this an excellent way to put gently used coats to good use.
Why Do We Run This Promotion?
This year, Sweet Sounds is celebrating 31 years of serving the Mankato community! Over the past three decades, our community has shown tremendous support, and we want to give back. When we first researched this promotion, we were surprised to learn how many families in Minnesota face economic challenges. The need is even greater in the Mankato area, which motivated us to launch this program to help those who could benefit most.
Over the past seven years, we have donated hundreds of coats worth thousands of dollars to local charities. These coats are distributed at no cost to families in the community, and we know that your contributions have brought warmth and comfort to many children during the winter months.
How Does the Program Work?
Visit Sweet Sounds between November 1 and November 28, 2024, to purchase a new remote starter for your car, truck, or SUV.
- Receive $50 off when purchasing a Compustar Pro T13, Pro R5, or Pro 2wG18LTE
- Receive $25 off when purchasing a Compustar Drone Mobile LTE or Pro 1wG18-FM remote starter which is a Sweet Sounds exclusive.
If you choose to have the system installed later in the season, please ensure full payment is made and the coat is dropped off before Thanksgiving.
To qualify for the promotion, phone purchases (507-345-8863) are accepted, but the coat must be dropped off at Sweet Sounds before Thanksgiving to validate the discount. This ensures we can distribute the coats to families before the coldest weather sets in. Please note that the Coats for Kids promotion cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts, or sale prices. We reserve the right to determine the suitability of the donated coat for the discount and cannot make exceptions to these guidelines.
